I am under a lot of pressure and stress because of a cross country move to be with my husband again, who just got home from a deployment from Afganistan, but everything seems to be working against me. I haven't felt like doing anything at all lately, but have been wanting to do this peice for a while so I forced myself to paint. It was a bit like therapy to release the pressure. Quick painting, took a little under two hours.
Done with Staeder Mars Lumograph graphite pencils, Hb to 8b and Dr. Ph Martins watercolors on bristol board.

When I saw that, I was just, like, woah. The skull jumped out to me immediately, almost as if it were three dimensional. I really like the colours dripping down, and I think the colours were really well chosen and fit really well.
I honestly can't find anything to criticize... though I am not an expert in art. I like the eye sockets the most in the whole picture, I thought they really showed your feelings of frustration well, I can almost feel it myself.
I'm sorry about your husband's deployment, and sorry about all the stress and pressure you have to face I hope everything gets better soon.
